Free monthly virtual sickle cell disease support group for men

Join the Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois (SCDAI) on Zoom for its “Sickle Cell Support Group for Men” on Nov. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Meetings are usually on the second to last Tuesday of each month from 6 to 8 p.m. (Sign up for SCDAI’s newsletter on its website homepage to receive information and meeting dates.)​

This statewide monthly meetup is for men with sickle cell disease and others interested in learning more about the disease from the male perspective. The group offers men a place where they can share and learn together.

The support group offers opportunities to:

• Explore and discuss different topics
• Share with others on a similar journey
• Enjoy a warm, welcoming space where you can laugh and problem-solve
