An opportunity to explore health care careers for high school students who are deaf or hard of hearing and entering grades 10, 11 or 12

Join the Rochester Institute of Technology’s National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) for the Health Care Careers Exploration Program from July 20 to 25.

Are you interested in pursuing a career in the fast-growing field of health care?

The NTID Health Care Careers Exploration Program will help you explore a range of career options in the field and learn about important issues in health care.

Students will also get a taste of college life, make new friends and explore activities, including:

  • Attending medical demonstrations
  • Hands-on demonstrations in biology, exercise science, medical laboratory science, nursing, microbiology, nutrition and more
  • Becoming CPR/First Aid certified
  • Participating in group activities and discussions

The program can help students select a major when they’ve chosen a college.

Students will each have a roommate and live in one of the residence halls.

The cost is $700 which covers room, board, and all activities.
