Central Illinois “Adapt and Conquer Expo 2025” in Peoria
Learn about area resources, recreation opportunities, and try out adaptive equipment and activities at this free event for people with disabilities
Join Prairieland Adaptive and the Bradley University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for the first “Adapt and Conquer Expo” on Sept. 27 from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Bradley University Markin Family Student Recreation Center in Peoria.
The expo will open at 10:30 a.m. and include:
- A resource fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- An activities fair from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Central Illinois youth and adults with disabilities can:
- Talk with community businesses and organizations that support individuals with disabilities
- Learn about area adaptive sports opportunities such as wheelchair basketball, pickleball and more
- Explore various options and try out adaptive equipment geared for individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments
The event is free and open to friends, caregivers, teachers, students, clinicians/providers, fitness instructors/personal trainers and others interested in learning how to support individuals with disabilities better.
