A free evening of self-care, creativity and connecting with other parents and caregivers of children navigating the emotional, behavioral and mental health system of care in Kankakee County

Project SUN hosts the next “Caregiver Craft Club” on May 18. The event takes place on the fourth Monday of every month from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the YMCA Childcare Center in Kankakee.

The Craft Club offers parents and caregivers an opportunity to:

Create arts and crafts project
Network with others
Discover the importance of self-care

This month’s project is a watermelon-painted birdhouse.

The event is free and welcomes parents and caregivers of children navigating the mental healthcare system in Kankakee County.

The event will provide craft supplies, dinner and childcare. Please register in advance to ensure there are enough supplies.
