Care for the Caregiver Event in Warrenville
A free event for caregivers of children with special needs to relax, recharge and connect
The Little Friends Family Support Network will host a relaxing and supportive “Care for the Caregiver” event on March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Are you looking to restore your spirit or connect with others in similar roles?
This event will provide a supportive environment for relaxing, recharging and filling up on the self-care you need.
Learn how to focus on connecting your mind and body to promote relaxation with professionals:
- Yoga instructor Kathy Snyder
- Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) Dawn Hamilton
- Nurse Practitioner Marcelina Gora
- Occupational Therapy Intern at Little Friends Kailey Gasik
Activities will include:
- Relaxing in a yoga session
- Learning massage techniques
- Exploring strategies to regulate the nervous system
Participants should wear comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing.
Limited onsite care services will be available during the event for participants’ children.
