Camp Roehr (Ruling Over Epilepsy Helps Realize Dreams) in Potosi, Mo.
A seven-day residential camp for children and teenagers ages 6 to 17 with epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Southern Illinois (EFGSI) is hosting Camp Roehr at YMCA Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood in Potosi, Mo., from June 7-13.
Camp Roehr is for children and youth ages 6 to 17 with a primary diagnosis of epilepsy. Campers can enjoy making new friends, discovering their strengths and participating in activities including:
- Team sports
- Arts and crafts
- Hiking and wildlife exploration
- Swimming
- Archery
- Dancing
- Epilepsy education and more
Caring, qualified counselors and medical support personnel are on-site to provide a safe, supportive environment.
Campers must be able to:
- Care for their own basic needs
- Follow directions and participate in regular camp activities
- Be emotionally and behaviorally ready for an overnight camp experience
