Camp Lions Youth Week for Children/Youth with Vision and Hearing Impairments in Southern Illinois
Free summer camp for children and youth ages 7 to 17 who are blind, vision impaired, deaf or hard of hearing
Join Camp Lions of Illinois for “Youth Week” on July 28 to Aug. 3. Check-in is Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Check-out is Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Camp Lions provides eligible youth with vision and/or hearing loss a camping experience filled with fun, challenging activities and an opportunity to make new friends with peers of similar abilities.
Camp activities will focus on building self-confidence, independence and leadership skills.
Campers can enjoy:
- Swimming and water sports
- Fishing
- Ga-ga ball, beeper and baseball
- Archery
- Arts and crafts
- Described/captioned movies
- Trail riding

Register for Camp Lions Deaf/HOH Week online. The deadline to apply is May 15. All applications are subject to approval.
