Camp Kangaroo Grief Camp in River Forest
A free day camp for children and teens ages 5 to 17 who have recently experienced the death of a loved one
Join Seasons Hospice Foundation for “Camp Kangaroo” on June 26 to 28 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Concordia University in River Forest.
Camp Kangaroo is a supportive, therapeutic environment for children and teens who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
Caring professionals and trained AccentCare Hospice volunteers will lead the camp. They will help campers:
- Build relationships and feel less alone in their loss
- Receive grief education and emotional support
- Experience a wide variety of fun activities
The camp is for children and teens ages 5 to 17 who have experienced the loss of a loved one in the last three years.
