Camp Courage for Children Grieving the Death of a Loved One in St. Louis
A free overnight camp for children ages 6 to 10 who are grieving the death of a loved one
Annie’s Hope – The Center for Grieving Kids will host Camp Courage “Road Trip” from June 2 to 6 in St. Louis.
The five-day, four-night camp will provide a safe, comfortable and fun experience where grieving kids can connect.
Campers will check in at Annie’s Hope and ride a bus to the site. Campers will return home with a family member who attends the Friday closing ceremony.
Campers will have time to enjoy free play, group fun and quiet reflection. Activities will include:
- Fishing, canoeing, paddle-boating
- Hiking, ziplining and exploring nature
- Crafting trouble dolls and building worry rockets
- Singing, dancing and storytelling
- Wacky Olympics and more
Camp Courage is free. However, every family with an accepted camper should donate to the best of their ability. Visit the Annie’s Hope program page for more information.
Complete the online application to apply for Camp Courage. The camp will accept campers on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers who have not previously attended Camp Courage will receive preference.
All applicants must complete a face-to-face interview with an Annie’s Hope staff member by May 16.
