“Beach Bash” at the Sensory Garden Playground in Lisle
Free Summer Saturdays at Sensory Garden Playground feature fun, exploration and all-inclusive play!
Join the Wheaton Park District for a “Beach Bash” Summer Saturday at the Sensory Garden Playground event on July 18. Summer Saturdays take place on the third Saturday of each month through Aug. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Head to the Sensory Garden Playground for a summer splash, without the ocean! Wheaton Park District employees will take you to the beach with games found along a pier and other activities, including:
- Playing Bozo Buckets
- Fishing for a prize
- Trying a water gun accuracy contest
- Completing the summer scavenger hunt challenge
Participants can also get sweet treats from an ice cream truck to beat the summer heat.
The event is free. A $5 donation per family is suggested.

The Sensory Garden Playground combines sensory-integrated playground equipment with areas for gardening and exploration. The Sensory Garden Playground is autism-friendly certified.
