Free opportunity for teens ages 12 to 18 to learn American Sign Language

Learn American Sign Language (ASL) at the Anne West Lindsey Library! Free classes for teens will begin on Jan. 15 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Classes will meet every two weeks on Wednesdays on:

  • Jan. 15 and 29
  • Feb.  12 and 26
  • March 12 and 26
  • April 9 and 23
  • May 7 and 21

Teens ages 12 to 18 will meet bi-weekly in the Community Room at the Anne West Lindsey Library to practice and build their ASL skills.

The Project Next Generation grant has paid for all supplies and materials

Teen STEAM is part of the Project Next Generation grant. Project Next Generation receives funding from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
