Accessible, Sensory-Friendly Performances of “The Beatrix Potter Holiday Party” in Chicago
Accessible performances in December for children with disabilities and their families at the Chicago Children’s Theatre Pritzker Family Studio
Join the Chicago Children’s Theatre for “The Beatrix Potter Holiday Tea Party” access weekend performances on:
- Saturday, Dec. 7 at 9:30 a.m. – Sensory-friendly
- Sunday, Dec. 8 at 9:30 a.m. – American Sign Language (ASL) and open captions
- Saturday, Dec. 14 at 9:30 a.m. – Sensory-friendly
- Saturday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. – Audio Description and Touch Tour (you must buy tickets two weeks before the performance)
Four Beatrix Potter favorites will come to life in this mesmerizing, interactive trunk and puppet show, complete with original music. Storytellers will weave Potter’s classic narration with gentle interactive moments where young watchers will join in the adventure.
After the show, families can head to the lobby to enjoy:
- Playing with the puppets
- Taking pictures with the cast
- Joining with other families for a holiday party featuring festive treats!
This production is recommended for children 8 and under but suitable for all ages.
