“Abe for All: Sensory Friendly Evening” in Springfield
A free inclusive, sensory-friendly opportunity to explore the museum for individuals with autism and other sensory sensitivities
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) will host “Abe for All: Sensory Friendly Evening” on April 4 from 4 to 6 p.m.
ALPLM guests will learn about President Lincoln in a sensory-friendly environment with the following:
- Lights turned on in the Theater and Journey exhibits
- Lower sound
- Less special effects
A quiet room will be available.
More accessibility resources include listening devices, social stories, busy bags, and a pre-visit preparation packet to help you plan your visit.
The event is free. Guests do not need to register to attend.
