Free event for people who are deaf and hard of hearing to learn about President Lincoln’s legacy and celebrate International Day for the Deaf

The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (ALPLM) will host “Abe for All: International Day for the Deaf” on Sept. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m.

“Abe for All” is a series of learning experiences to make President Lincoln’s legacy more accessible to all.

Guests will enjoy:

  • Sign language interpreters throughout the museum, including inside the theater productions, to sign the presentations as they are running.
  • QR codes to access closed captioned videos to access permanent content inside the museum. Please bring your own device to view this content. The museum does not provide devices.

Admission will be free from 4 to 6 p.m. Sign language interpreters will be available.

You do not need to register to attend.

ALPLM accessibility resources include listening devices, social stories, busy bags and a pre-visit preparation packet to help plan your visit.
