Join the Autism Society Southern Illinois for the 2025 Autism Conference “Building Inclusive Supports Across the Lifespan” on Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This half-day professional development event brings educators, therapists, service providers and family members together to:
- Foster collaboration
- Promote inclusive practices
- Enhance outcomes for individuals with autism across Southern Illinois and beyond
The conference will feature a wide range of topics and experts, including:
- Sensory regulation and strategies with Kim Parr, OTD, OTR/L
- Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices with Melissa Judge and Denise Croft
- Gestalt language processing and regulation with Ashley Eggemeyer, MS CCC-SLP/L
- Supported driving programs with James Wooldridge from the Southern Illinois University Evaluation and Developmental Center
- Statewide educational initiatives designed to equip professionals with practical, evidence-based strategies with Michael Horton, M.S., BCBA, LBA from the Statewide Autism Professional Learning and Supports Project (APLUS Project)
Participants can also meet with resource providers including:
- The Illinois Respite Coalition
- CASTLE ABA Program
- The Arc of Illinois
- Others offering information on customized employment and family support services
Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available. Lunch will be on your own.
