Expand your understanding of autism and best practices at the 2025 Autism Conference in Carbondale

Join the Autism Society Southern Illinois for the 2025 Autism Conference “Building Inclusive Supports Across the Lifespan” on Sept. 26 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This half-day professional development event brings educators, therapists, service providers and family members together to:

  • Foster collaboration
  • Promote inclusive practices
  • Enhance outcomes for individuals with autism across Southern Illinois and beyond

The conference will feature a wide range of topics and experts, including:

  • Sensory regulation and strategies with Kim Parr, OTD, OTR/L
  • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices with Melissa Judge and Denise Croft
  • Gestalt language processing and regulation with Ashley Eggemeyer, MS CCC-SLP/L
  • Supported driving programs with James Wooldridge from the Southern Illinois University Evaluation and Developmental Center
  • Statewide educational initiatives designed to equip professionals with practical, evidence-based strategies with Michael Horton, M.S., BCBA, LBA from the Statewide Autism Professional Learning and Supports Project (APLUS Project)

Participants can also meet with resource providers including:

  • The Illinois Respite Coalition
  • CASTLE ABA Program
  • The Arc of Illinois
  • Others offering information on customized employment and family support services

Continuing education units (CEUs) will be available. Lunch will be on your own.

Tickets are $28.52 each.
