Special Recreation of Joliet & Channahon
Special Recreation of Joliet & Channahon (SRJC) is a cooperative extension of the Joliet and Channahon Park Districts. SRJC provides year-round social and recreation activities for people of all ages with a wide range of disabilities. Programs offer opportunities to build new skills, create friendships and have fun.
Transportation is available to residents of Joliet and Channahon for some SRJC programs for an additional fee. For non-resident transportation, please contact the SRJC office at (815) 741-7275, ext. 176.

Plainfield Park District
The Plainfield Park District provides recreational opportunities for all residents. If you or a family member needs special assistance or accommodations to participate in any park district program, please indicate that need on your registration form.
In addition, the park district coordinates with the Northern Will County Special Recreation Association (NWCSRA) to offer a wide range of recreational opportunities.

The Will County Health Department provides comprehensive public health programs, primary health care, and dental services for medically underserved residents.

Job Corps
Job Corps is a comprehensive program that provides essential academics and career skills training. The program helps eligible youth ages 16 through 24 complete their high school education, trains them for meaningful careers, and assists them with obtaining employment.

Illinois Department of Employment Security Youth Program
The Hire the Future Program at the Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES) is designed to provide youth ages 16 to 24 with employment assistance, job readiness and career development services. You c an find out what careers match your skills and interests by using IDES’ online job resources.
Cornerstone Services – Employment Services
Cornerstone Services’ Employment Services help people with disabilities gain and maintain employment in the community.
Services are available in Will, Kankakee and southern Cook counties. Services include career counseling, job development and job coaching.

Bridges to a New Day
Bridges to a New Day provides counseling, intervention and educational services to foster non-violence in the lives of children and adults. Telehealth and in-person services are available.

Infinite Potential Through Technology (Infinitec)
Infinite Potential Through Technology (Infinitec) brings assistive technology to people with disabilities in Illinois. Infinitec provides information about assistive technology as well as training, equipment and access to specialists and resources.
Infinitec includes information about mobility devices, home modifications, independent living, orthotics and prosthetics, adaptive toys, adaptive sports, hearing resource guides, vision resource guides and more.
The Arc of Illinois
The Arc of Illinois advocates for and empowers people with disabilities and their families to reach their goals and fully participate in community life. The Arc of Illinois provides information, resources, family support, and training to help make Illinois a place where people with disabilities can learn, play, work, and live in communities across the state.
