COVID-19 Information in ASL

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides a series of YouTube videos on COVID-19 with information in American Sign Language.

OSF HealthCare COVID-19 Resource Center

The OSF HealthCare COVID-19 online resource center provides up-to-date information about symptoms, testing, vaccines and treatment. The Center also features the options to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment or chat with an OSF nurse.

 

Self-Care and Tips for Talking With Children and Teens about Mental Health

UNICEF provides tips and resources to help you support your child’s and your own mental health. Resources include a mental health quiz, information on common conditions, videos, and conversation starters to help you talk to your kids. The information is available in several languages.

City of Chicago Emergency Assistance Registry for People with Disabilities or Special Needs

The City of Chicago has created a voluntary registry for individuals who may need assistance in the event of an emergency.

Individuals with disabilities or special needs or their caregivers can sign up at www.cityofchicago.org/voluntaryregistry/ or contact the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) at (312) 744-7050 for additional information.

Special Olympics School of Strength

Special Olympics, in partnership with WWE and Special Olympics athletes, provides a free fitness School of Strength video series for athletes in their teens and late 20s. The series features workout videos with varying levels of difficulty in flexibility, strength, balance and endurance exercises to encourage athletes to commit to a lifetime of fitness habits.

ABCya

ABCya provides a variety of educational games designed to help children in kindergarten through 6th grade learn.
