Rising Moms Day Retreat in Elgin
Enjoy a restorative day for moms raising children with special needs
Join the Rising Lights Project’s “Rising Moms Day Retreat” on Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Elgin Country Club. Retreat check-in and breakfast are from 9 to 10 a.m.
Whether you’re craving community or simply a quiet moment to breathe, this restorative day is for you!
Activities will include:
- Eating breakfast together
- Hearing from speaker Elizabeth Rago, founder of the Modern Domestic Woman (MDW), and the mother of a neurodivergent son who is now an adult. Her presentation will deepen understanding and equip participants with practical ways to navigate their own journey with greater compassion, for their children and for themselves.
- Exploring through guided table discussions how to protect your peace from outside pressures, redefine what success and progress look like, and find healthy ways to release the weight we carry.
- Creating a meaningful reminder and custom candle with the founder and creative director of That Girl + Co Lifestyle Studio, Massiel Ullsmith. Participants will personalize their creation with calming fragrances and arrange a hidden message with letter beads that will gradually be revealed as the candle burns.
Participants will enjoy breakfast upon arrival and a delicious lunch together in a supportive, uplifting environment.
Tickets are $65 per person.
