The Autism Training and Technical Assistance Project (ATTA) is hosting the “My Life, My Financial Goals: From Benefits to Financial Independence” monthly webinar series for families and supporters of youth transitioning out of high school. This month’s session, “Social Security Disability Benefits, Why Work Matters, and the True Value of Money,” is on June 25 from 3 to 4 p.m.
The series explores how Social Security benefits, employment and smart financial decision-making can work together to build long-term independence.
This webinar session will focus on understanding:
- Social Security disability benefits
- Why work matters (even while receiving benefits)
- The true value of money and how to use it to reach both short-term and long-term goals as youth move into adulthood
