Free virtual support group for families and caregivers of loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Join The Arc of Illinois‘ virtual Family Support Group for “Understanding Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy: What It Is, What to Look For and What to Question” on May 19 from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The virtual family support group is for parents, family members and caregivers of loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Each meeting provides an opportunity to explore important topics and connect with:

  • Others who truly understand your journey
  • A community of support
  • A place to be heard

This session will feature the clinical director of Precision ABA Brigid McCormick, MA, BCBA, LBA. Brigid will provide a clear, honest overview of ABA therapy, including:

  • How it can support children when done well
  • What families should look for when choosing a provider
  • Practical guidance on asking the right questions and making informed decisions with confidence

The support group is free to attend and open to the public.
