Glow Wild Sensory-Friendly Night at Brookfield Zoo in Chicago
A sensory-friendly opportunity to explore the zoo and wander illuminated pathways surrounded by handcrafted lanterns inspired by wildlife, global traditions and mythical worlds
Join Brookfield Zoo Chicago for the next “Glow Wild Sensory-Friendly Night” on April 16 from 6 to 10 p.m.
The Glow Wild lantern festival transforms the night into a glowing celebration of art, culture and conservation. Wander illuminated pathways surrounded by handcrafted lanterns inspired by wildlife, global traditions and mythical worlds.
Sensory-friendly night will provide families and people of all ages with sensory sensitivities an opportunity to experience this outdoor event with:
- Lower volume music
- Lower movement-based visual stimuli around the zoo
- New KultureCity resources
Participants can also connect with organizations offering social services, education services and other supports for families, such as:
Every ticket includes free parking and free rides on the carousel and Ferris wheel.
Tickets are $24.95 for adults and $14.95 for children. (Zoo member tickets are $19.95 for adults and $9.95 per child.) You can buy tickets on the Glow Wild event page.
Glow Wild is a special after-hours event and requires a separate event ticket for admission. Please note that you cannot use General Admission Guest Passes, Museums for All, Museum Passports, Museum Works and Museum Adventures passes for entry to Glow Wild, but they remain valid for regular daytime general admission.
“Glow Wild Sensory-Friendly Night” will also be on Thursday, May 7, from 6 to 10 p.m.
