Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center (Family Matters PTIC) will host “Planning for the Future of a Loved One With Special Needs Session One: Protecting Benefits and Legal Planning” on April 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Join Thrivent Financial Advisor and parent, Michele Westmaas, for this two-part educational series focused on planning for loved ones with special needs.
Michelle will provide tips and strategies aimed at helping families and caregivers:
- Build a secure future
- Protect essential benefits
- Create a strong support system for long-term care and financial stability
In this session, Michelle will explain:
- Strategies for protecting eligibility for government benefits
- Important legal considerations such as guardianship, powers of attorney and advance directives
Together, these sessions will provide valuable insights and actionable steps for parents, guardians and caregivers who want to make informed decisions and confidently plan for the future of their loved ones with special needs.
