A free, two-part series for Illinois families with questions about using, learning and advocating for assistive technology for people with disabilities

Join Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center and Infinitec for “Bust the Myths and Demystify the Facts Related to Assistive Technology (AT)” on April 14 from 12 to 1 p.m.

Presenters from Infinitec will break down common misconceptions about AT and answer key questions families often have, including:

• What AT includes
• Who is responsible for providing and maintaining it
• How decisions are made to meet your child’s needs

Participants will also explore family-friendly state and federal guidance documents to help strengthen their understanding of AT tools and service delivery.
