Join Prevent Child Abuse Illinois for “Protective Factors: Keeping Families Strong” on March 23 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach to increasing family strengths, enhancing child development and reducing the likelihood of child abuse and neglect.

This training will walk participants through the Strengthening Families approach and strategies for building six key factors to promote family well-being, including:

  • Positive relationships and social connections
  • Access to concrete support that addresses a family’s needs and helps minimize stress
  • Family and child interactions that help children develop
  • Family voice
  • Equity and cultural responsiveness
