Feelings of guilt and regret are natural emotions for all parents. However, they are particularly prevalent for those caring for children living with medical complexity.
This session of Courageous Parent Network’s “In the Room” will focus on “Addressing Feelings of Guilt and Regret: Strategies to Employ as a Caregiver” on March 5 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Pediatric psychologist Dr. Chrissy Salley will guide caregivers, families and professionals through:
- Common sources of guilt and regret
- Basic principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the science of caregiving
- Strategies to help manage feelings of guilt and regret throughout the caregiving journey
