This session of Courageous Parent Network’s “In the Room” webinar series will focus on “Unlocking Answers: What Every Parent Should Know About Genetic Testing” on Feb. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Genetic testing can play a powerful role in helping families find answers about their child’s health.

In this session, board-certified genetic counselor Amanda Singleton, MPH, ScM, CGC, will cover:

  • Different types of genetic tests
  • What they can (and can’t) tell you
  • How they’re used to diagnose a wide range of conditions
  • How rechecking genetic data over time can lead to new insights and better outcomes
  • Ongoing efforts that are making genetic testing more available and more useful for families from all backgrounds
