YMCA Camp Independence for Adults with Spina Bifida in Ingleside

A traditional overnight camp experience for adults aged 20 and older with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities

Join YMCA Camp Independence for its overnight adult camp sessions. Check-in is on Sunday at 2 p.m. Check-out is on Friday at 2 p.m.

Sessions for campers aged 20 and older with spina bifida and other neurological disabilities will take place in June and July:

• Session 1 will run June 14 – 19
• Session 6 will run July 19 – 24

Campers can enjoy:

• Playing sports
• Creating arts and crafts
• Singing around the campfire
• Boating and more!

Learn, share and build friendships alongside others with different abilities in a welcoming and encouraging environment. Campers will be active in their own care.

The cost is $1,850 per camper per session. Financial assistance is available. Please review the options listed on the registration form and complete the Financial Assistance Form included in the registration materials.

Register online using the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s website. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited.
