The Transition Planning Committee for McLean, DeWitt and Logan Counties (TPC 14, Region 3) will host its 2026 Transition Fair and Open House on April 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Enjoy this open house-style event featuring more than 40 vendors and special guest speaker Erin Compton at 10 a.m.

Erin began serving on the State Rehabilitation Council at age 16 and is currently its chair. She is also a student at College of DuPage, working on an associate’s degree in general studies with an emphasis on dance and advocacy.  Erin will share about opening doors through experiences with:

  • The local park district, Expression Dance and Joffrey Ballet
  • Unfolding Disability Futures
  • Cirque Experience, where she rides the German Wheel
  • Her interest in history and genealogy

Browse the many booths to connect with local organizations and discover area resources for people with disabilities, including the Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC).

Our team will be happy to answer questions about our programs and provide information to help you plan for the future, including our Transition Toolkit (available in English and Spanish) and other resources.

See the 2026 Transition Fair and Open House event page for the list of vendors and more details.

The event is open to students and their families, teachers and others in McLean, DeWitt and Logan counties who would like to learn more about planning for life after high school.
