Swanson Sensory Swim in St. Charles
Sensory-friendly swim time for children on the autism spectrum and individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families
Swanson Pool at Pottawatomie Park will host a Sensory Swim on Aug. 10 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
This open swim is for children on the autism spectrum and individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families.
Participants will enjoy:
- Fewer people in and around the pool
- A calm environment with minimized water features
- Supportive and understanding staff
The facility will open to the public at 11 a.m. Sensory swim participants can stay and enjoy the pool the rest of the day.
Tickets are $5 per person.

The For Scout Foundation supports this program in remembrance of Scout Cantrell and to help children learn to love swimming as much as she did.
