ASL Performance of “The Outsiders” in Carbondale
Join the Stage Company for an American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation performance of “The Outsiders” on July 12 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
The Outsiders details the conflict between two rival gangs divided by their socioeconomic status: the working-class “Greasers” and the upper-middle-class “Socs.” The story is told in first-person perspective by teenage protagonist Ponyboy Curtis and takes place in Tulsa, Okla., in 1965.
The performance on Saturday, July 12, will include interpretation for patrons who use ASL.
This production of The Outsiders is adapted by Christopher Sergel and directed by Tricia Burns.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
