“Planning Before, During and After Transition for Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)” for Spanish-Speakers in Joliet
Enjoy learning about resources, collaborating and connecting at this free event tailored to Spanish-speaking families with loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Join the Arc of Illinois‘ Family Advocate Program, Family Support Network of Illinois and Illinois Lifespan, and the Disability Resource Center for “Planning Before, During and After Transition for Students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD)” on June 30 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
This in-person event at the Disability Resource Center in Joliet will feature:
- Speakers Consuelo Puente and Maria Castillo
- Facilitators Ruth Aguilar and Veronica Salazar
The event is tailored to Spanish speakers, but all families interested in learning more about helping a loved one with I/DD transition to adulthood are welcome.
The event will include:
- Meeting other families
- Learning about transition resources
- Gaining an understanding of what to do before, during and after transition
- Participating in a raffle for an iPad (must be present to win)
The event is free and open to the public. You don’t need to register.
