Taste of the Past Event in Springfield

Step back in time and celebrate 125 years of the Springfield Park District at this free event for all ages!

The Springfield Park District will host “Taste of the Past” on June 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Help celebrate the Washington Park Pavilion and its ice cream roots.

Bring the family and take a trip down memory lane.

Families can:

• Explore more than 125 historic photos of Springfield parks and the community
• Learn fun facts about the pavilion and other iconic landmarks
• Taste ice cream served just the way it was in the old ice cream parlor

Whether you’re a history buff or simply craving a scoop of ice cream, this event will be a cool and delightful experience.

This event is free and open to people of all ages.
