The Disability Employment Technical Assistance Center (DETAC) National Community of Practice will host “Celebrating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): How Assistive Technology (AT) Supports Daily Life and Work” on July 8 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
This special celebration will honor the 35th anniversary of the ADA. It will also feature a discussion on technology and shaping the future of accessibility.
Join Assistive Technology Act Technical Assistance and Training Center (AT3 Center) panel members Marty Exline, Kim Singleton and Ryan Rausch in this discussion focusing on technology advancements and basic AT tools that continue to be overlooked.
The panelists will:
- Share examples of how AT is a bridge to breaking down barriers
- Discuss innovative approaches for providing more independence in the workplace and community
- Provide ideas for increasing access to AT tools across the lifespan
