Northern Illinois “North of Eighty” Conference in Oak Forest for Parents and Caregivers of Children Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
A free in-person conference at sites in Southern, Central and Northern Illinois for parents of children who are deaf and hard of hearing
Join the Illinois School for the Deaf Outreach Services for the “North of Eighty (I-80)” Parent Conference on Oct. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Parents and caregivers of children who are deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) will attend session topics focused on:
- Early intervention
- Preschool
- School success
DHH youth 13 and older and professionals who work with children with hearing impairments are also welcome to attend the conference.
The conference is free and in-person only. Childcare will be available for children ages 3 to 12.
Please submit any accommodation requests at least three weeks before the event date. American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be available at all three conferences.
