C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Scholarship Deadline
Applications are open for the 2025 CSBG education and training scholarship through C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation
The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Scholarship is designed, in cooperation with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, to provide financial assistance to income-eligible students attending college or occupational training programs.
C.E.F.S. Economic Opportunity Corporation will accept CSBG scholarship applications from eligible students in Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Shelby, Moultrie, Christian or Montgomery counties through May 31.
CSBG scholarships provide funds for:
- Education or occupational training in an accredited Illinois educational institution
- Short-term training (two years or less) in growth occupation skills
Applicants must be:
- CSBG income-eligible (see application for guidelines)
- A resident of Clay, Effingham, Fayette, Shelby, Moultrie, Christian or Montgomery county
- Enrolled, or intending to enroll, as a full-time student for the fall 2025 semester in an Illinois-accredited college. Full time is considered 12 hours or more.
This competitive scholarship is based on income and the interview process. Previous scholarship recipients are eligible to submit an application. All eligible candidates will be interviewed.
