Stepping Stones Bereavement Camp is a safe place for children who have lost a loved one to explore their grief and have fun. The camp is open to any child who has lost a loved one, not just those who received services from BJC Hospice.

Professional staff and volunteers will provide therapeutic activities in an atmosphere of understanding and encouragement. Campers will spend time with kids their age who have a similar experience.

Activities will include:

  • Reflecting on their feelings of grief
  • Remembering and honoring their loved one
  • Sharing encouragement and experiences with their peers
  • Swimming
  • Playing games
  • Doing arts and crafts

Watch the video and read more about the Stepping Stones Camp experience.

The camp is free and open to youth ages 6 to 15 who are grieving the death of a family member or close friend.
