Join STAR NET Region IV for “Building Self-Regulation Skills in the Home” on March 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
From birth to age 5, children develop important executive function skills such as self-regulation, cognitive flexibility and working memory.
Presenter Julie Kallenbach, EdD, will provide tips and strategies for helping young children with disabilities develop these critical skills for learning academics and social behaviors.
Julie will help family members and caregivers learn:
- How to create routines
- How to use co-regulation skills
- What types of games can help build these fundamental skills
Julie is an Early Childhood project facilitator who inspires teams to evaluate, create and sustain effective educational practices in birth to third grade.
