Sensory-Friendly “Experience Decades Through Dance” in Springfield

Enjoy traveling through decades of American history through dance at this sensory-friendly experience!

Join the University of Illinois Performing Arts Center and Copper Coin Ballet Company for “Experience Decades Through Dance” on Jan. 31, 2025.  There will be a morning and an evening performance:

• 10 to 11 a.m. – This Staley Class Acts Series performance is for students in grades third through eighth
• 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. – Sensory-friendly performance for all

This performance aims to offer a sensory-friendly experience in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Travel through decades of American history through dance! The performance will explore each decade from the 1910s to the 1990s through historical facts and popular dance to music of the time.
