Performance of “The Beatrix Potter Holiday Party” for Children who are Blind or Have Low Vision in Chicago
Accessible performances in December for children with disabilities and their families at the Chicago Children’s Theatre Pritzker Family Studio
Join the Chicago Children’s Theatre for “The Beatrix Potter Holiday Tea Party” on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. This performance will provide audio description services for guests who are blind or have low vision and a guided pre-show Touch Tour of the production. You must by tickets two weeks before the performance.
Four Beatrix Potter favorites will come to life in this mesmerizing, interactive trunk and puppet show, complete with original music. Storytellers will weave Potter’s classic narration with gentle interactive moments, recruiting young watchers to join the adventure.
After the show, families can head to the lobby to:
- Play with the puppets
- Take pictures with the cast
- Join other families for a holiday party featuring festive treats!
This production is recommended for children 8 and under, but is suitable for all ages.
