Appointments are available in DuPage County for residents seeking financial assistance to help pay their gas and electric bills

DuPage County and Township General Assistance Offices will begin scheduling appointments for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) for:

Individuals with disabilities
Families with children 5 years and younger
Households that have had their utilities disconnected or have received a disconnection notice
Adults age 60 or older

If you’re a DuPage County resident seeking financial assistance to help pay your gas and electric bills, call and schedule an appointment. The application window for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program will re-open on Oct. 1.

The program will receive applications on a first-come, first-served basis for income-eligible households through Aug. 15, 2025.
