Join the Chicago Autism Network for “Tools and Tips for Supporting Siblings of Individuals with Autism” on Zoom on Aug. 14 from 7 to 8 p.m.

The sibling relationship is important and unique to each family.

Presenter Julia Mefferd will discuss ways to help support, inform and empower siblings of children with autism.

Participants will learn about:

  • Tools for validating siblings’ feelings
  • Strategies for empowering siblings to be an advocate for both themselves and their sibling
  • Age-appropriate information for answering questions about their siblings’ neurotype

Julia is a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in the treatment of mental health in the context of neurodivergence and the founder of All Kinds of Minds Therapy.
