Join the Chicago Hearing Society (CHS) for “Deaf Family Day at Lincoln Park Zoo” on Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Enjoy Lincoln Park Zoo Fall Fest activities for free!

Head to the Hurvis Learning Center where you can meet other families with children who are deaf, deafblind or hard of hearing and enjoy activities designed for the whole family, including:

  • Crafting
  • American Sign Language (ASL) storytelling
  • Playing games
  • Eating snacks and more

Plus, help come up with name signs for the zoo’s giraffes!

Register for Deaf Family Day. The event and parking is free, but you must register to attend.

ASL interpreters will be available.

Parking is available at the zoo’s lot located at Fullerton Parkway and Cannon Drive (2400 N. Cannon Drive). Parking passes for this lot will be avaukabke at the event so you can park for free.

The zoo is also accessible by train via the Armitage and Fullerton stations and by bus via the 22, 36, 151, and 156 routes.
