The Salvation Army of Decatur’s Social Service Center remains operational to serve those in need during these turbulent times. We currently offer services through our Food Pantry on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Our Pantry Manager and dedicated staff have converted to pre-boxed distribution as part of our coordinated response to COVID-19. Prescription Vouchers are available for those who struggle to cover the costs of their prescribed medications.

National Domestic Violence Hotline – Staying Safe During COVID-19
Information on how COVID-19 could uniquely impact intimate partner violence survivors and safety tips for survivors.
WIC has services to support families during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots in out-of-home locations are available for free to anyone who needs them, including non-Xfinity Internet customers, to keep communities connected with their friends and family during the pandemic.
Xfinity Wi-Fi hotspots located both indoors and outdoors in places like shopping districts, parks, businesses and train stations are open. Hotspots located in customers’ homes are not opened to the public.
ComEd Financial Assistance Options
ComEd has worked with the Attorney General’s office, the staff of the Illinois Commerce Commission and a broad group of stakeholders to develop a financial assistance package to help customers during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

If you cannot pay your energy bill due to financial difficulties, Peoples Gas has flexible payment arrangement plans or energy assistance options that may help.
