The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) is hosting the “New Rules for IL ABLE: For Self-Advocates, Families, Guardians and Rep Payees” webinar on Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m.
If you are an eligible individual with a disability, an agent under a power of attorney, parent, guardian, spouse, sibling, grandparent or representative payee (rep payee) of an eligible person, this free presentation is for you.
Topics will include:
- IL ABLE (Achieving a Better Live Experience) account basics and how the program can increase financial independence for many eligible individuals
- The expanded and prioritized list of people who can act as an “authorized individual” (beginning Nov. 20)
- The role and responsibilities of “authorized individuals”
- Preparing for /opening an IL ABLE account
