Webinar – “New Rules for IL ABLE”: For Self-Advocates, Families, Guardians and Rep Payees”

The Family Resource Center on Disabilities (FRCD) is hosting “New Rules for IL ABLE: For Self-Advocates, Families, Guardians and Rep Payees” on Nov. 16 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

If you are an eligible individual with a disability, an agent under a power of attorney, parent, guardian, spouse, sibling, grandparent, or representative payee (rep payee) of an eligible person, this free presentation is for you.

Topics will also include:

• IL ABLE (Achieving a Better Life Experience) account basics and how the program can increase financial independence for many eligible individuals
• The expanded and prioritized list of people who can act as an “Authorized Individual” (beginning Nov. 20)
• The role and responsibilities of “Authorized Individuals”
• Preparing for /opening an IL ABLE account
