StoryWalk Celebration at the Playground for Everyone in Elmhurst
Children and their caregivers can read an inclusion story while exploring the outdoors.
The Library’s first StoryWalk at Butterfield Park will feature “It’s Ok To Be Different” by Todd Parr as you walk along Elmhurst’s “Playground for Everyone.”
StoryWalk was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, as a way to engage children and their caregivers with stories while they explore the outdoors. Pages of a story are set up along a path so you can read as you walk.
Visitors to Elmhurst’s StoryWalk can bring a picnic basket and enjoy story times at 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.
“The Playground for Everyone” at Butterfield Park is inclusive and fun for kids and adults of all abilities.
