Pediatric Special Needs Clinic in Rockford
New monthly clinic for all children with a special needs diagnosis.
Mercyhealth Hospital -Rockton Avenue is starting a monthly pediatric special needs clinic. The first clinic starts on Jan. 24 on the fourth floor of Building 2 on the Mercyhealth-Rockton Avenue campus. The clinic will be held the fourth Wednesday of the month.
The clinic will serve patients from birth to age 18 with a variety of special needs, including spina bifida, chromosomal diagnoses, developmental/motor delays, bracing, gait disturbances, neonatal intensive care unit graduates and patients with chronic illnesses that affect motor function.
Pediatric specialists available for consult include:
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Rehabilitation Medicine
- Neurology
- Orthotics
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Social Services
- Social Support Groups
- Coordination with Rockford Spine Center
UIC Division of Specialized Care for Children staff will also be present to explain our services and assist families with applications, if applicable.
