“Special Kids Day, City Works!”

A free family event designed for kids and adults with special needs to learn and explore how cities operate

Elmhurst’s Special Kids Day organization and the City of Elmhurst are hosting a “City Works” tour on July 31 from 12 to 4 p.m.

All activities are at Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York St., Elmhurst.

Come explore how the City of Elmhurst works at this new family event designed for kids & adults with special needs!

Departments will provide demonstrations, hands-on activities, public safety tips and a fun opportunity to:

• Interact with the city employees and elected officials who provide essential services to the community
• Learn from firefighters, paramedics, police officers and the public works team
• Enjoy a quiet space for story time with the Elmhurst History Museum
• Cast your “vote” with Elmhurst’s Mayor to find out some of the city’s favorites!
