Special Kids Day City Works in Elmhurst

A free family event designed for kids and adults with special needs to learn and explore how cities operate

Elmhurst’s Special Kids Day organization and the City of Elmhurst are hosting a “City Works” tour on June 10 from 12 to 4 p.m.

Individuals of all ages and abilities will enjoy getting an up-close look at how the City of Elmhurst works!

Hands-on activities will include:

  • Planting flowers with Public Works
  • Sitting in a police car
  • Touching a firetruck
  • Bandaging a stuffed animal and learning about first aid
  • Voting on “official” city business and more

Free snacks and ice cream will also be available.
