Sensory-Friendly Morning at Lincoln Park Zoo
Free opportunity for individuals with sensory sensitivities, disabilities, chronic illness or who are deaf and hard of hearing to experience the zoo
Join Lincoln Park Zoo for “Sensory-Friendly Morning” on April 28 from 8 to 10 a.m.
Sensory-Friendly Morning is for people of all ages who benefit from visiting the zoo without crowds and other sensitive environmental elements.
Individuals with a wide range of sensory sensitivities, such as autism, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), dementia and other disabilities can enjoy exploring the zoo:
- In a comfortable and inclusive environment
- With fewer people and no large crowds
- With the music and noise levels lowered or turned off for activities such as the train and carousel

Not all animal buildings may be open. Some animals may not be in their public viewing spaces. The zoo will open to the public and begin typical operations at 10 a.m.
The event is free.
